1627.3
1627.3 is the number of calories my body burns just by being (according to Discovery Health)...That means reasonably if I were NOT trying to lose weight and I did not move a centimeter all day, I could eat 1627.3 calories worth of food. According to Self magazine, in order to lose 1lb a week you need a calorie deficit of 500/day or 3500/week. This would mean that without working out I could eat 1127.3 calories a day. YIKES! No wonder I wasn't getting any thinner! :) Today's workout burned approximately 700 calories so I can eat about 1827.3 calories today...This is all very interesting information to me. I have counted calories before, but never really thought about how many I should actually be consuming. Now I know basically exactly. Why I hadn't looked at it before, I have no idea! Actually...maybe its because I detest running and love nachos and chocolate. That could be it.
