For the last several days I have been mourning the loss of the Seattle Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon we were planning on doing in June. That is, after all, what we based our whole training schedule on. I never would've imagined that they would've sold out a month and a half before race day...Particularly because is is the inaugural Seattle Rock and Roll!
Anyway, about an hour and a half ago I forced myself to move on and looked up the schedule of marathons and half marathons on the Runner's World website Now I'm struggling between doing a half marathon around the same time in Oregon or Washington OR continuing training and just going straight for the full marathon a few months later, somewhere more interesting...East coast? SoCal? (even though it seems silly to pay to run...and even sillier to pay to go somewhere to run AND pay to run...and even though the idea of being on a plane the day after running 26.2 miles wants me to pump myself full of sedatives immediately).
So if you have a favorite city or a favorite marathon let me know...I'm pouring over the list, but there are a TON of choices...and I don't even know where to begin. Maybe I'll just run them all. My next adventure? I think not.
