Reinvigorated

I had a rough week at work. Kyle did too. Usually when he is down, I am up and can help him...and when I am down, he is up and can help me...This last week we were both wallowing in the depths and we were dragging each other down further and further! We bagged almost all of our runs, ate crap (and I mean CRAP...Red Robin, a huge diner breakfast, a hot dog at the Sounders game--with cream cheese, lots and lots of beer, cookie dough ice cream, the list goes on and on...and on). It was bad. Very very bad.

Today I feel like I've been hit by a freight train. I had to drink about 2 liters of water this morning before I even started feeling like a human being. I'm pretty sure there are two sumo wrestlers having it out in my stomach. And I'm not even going to tell you where I'm sitting as far as the scale goes! The good news is...working out has become so much a part of my regular routine that not doing it for a week makes me feel like a slug. I feel gross and uncomfortable and slimy...okay not slimy, but I bet that's how a slug feels...and antsy to get moving again. After some good talks with Kyle this weekend I think we're back where we need to be as far as motivation. I'm actually looking forward to our run tomorrow, and I'm really looking forward to our long run on Saturday. And even more than that, I'm looking forward to not feeling like death. I hadn't realized how great I was feeling until I stopped feeling it!

So wish me luck as I get back to it this week! And wish me luck that the sumo wrestlers find their way out of my stomach and back wherever they came from!
