I can't get noooo....

Motivation...and I try and I try and I try and I tryyyyyy

Wow I have been MIA for a long time! Because I know you all check this hourly to find out what I am up to, I will apologize for my absence! Things are good here. After a few month lull I have found my motivation again. This time what is helping is paying attention to nutrition...counting calories, watching fat and sodium intake, trying to get the most balanced day's worth of food possible....I know, I know...a marathon, a triathlon, nutrition, what the heck am I working on? Well, honestly I'm still working on all three...but what I have decided in this process is that I need motivation from every possible angle. The more motivators I have that are not just "because I should" or "because it's good for me" the better. Currently my motivators (ranked in order) are:

1. I'm 1/2 a lb fatter than Kyle...I want to finally be smaller than my boyfriend! When we finally get married he's supposed to pick ME up to carry me over the threshold...not the other way around!
2. I am counting calories and am very aware of the consequences when I screw up and eat 7 Oreos (okay...12). Those mess ups force me to workout more.
3. I am doing one "race" a month between November 2009 and September 2010 (more on that later)
4. I'm doing this killer bootcamp class on Tuesday nights and if I don't work out the rest of the week I can't walk for 4 days after...or stand...or sit...or lay down comfortably.
5. The Seattle Rock 'n Roll 1/2 Marathon - June 26th (which I plan on registering for THIS MONTH to avoid the sell out...and to avoid talking myself out of it!)
6. The Danskin Women's Sprint Triathlon - August 15th (which by the way, if any of you want to train for with me, I would love to have the company!!)
7. The Biggest Loser. I love it. I can't help it. :)
8. I have to wear a swim suit in Cabo in April...Maybe this should move to number one ranked motivator...........ew.

So after bootcamp yesterday, eating perfectly healthy today, a 3 mile run this evening, I am searching for the motivation to work out tomorrow...anyone got anything to add to my list?! :)

  1. Way to go Hannah! I was missing your posts when you went MIA. Registering and paying for the rock n' roll marathon NOW is a good idea. Then you'll be forced to work out for it because if you don't end up doing it, your out a lot of cash!
