a note on eating.
So I watched the Biggest Loser last night (like I do every Tuesday after bootcamp and a healthy meal). Let me preface this by saying that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the show and find it really motivating and amazing what people can do when they put their minds to it (and when they have personal trainers, people to teach them to cook healthy, healthy food at their disposal, crazy cool workout challenges, and a support network right there where they live...). But something that has always bugged me about that show is how they link food/eating/weight problems with some dramatic event in everyone's lives...you eat because your husband died. You eat because your dad abused you. You eat because you lost all 4 limbs in a racquetball accident...You get my point. For me, it is not that deep. I LIKE FOOD. I mean come on. The smell of lasagna baking! Or brownies, or a big cheeseburger and fries....I did not have a traumatic childhood and all my limbs are in tact. I just like to eat.

I just read the book "French women don't get fat." I thought it was really interesting because it was all about enjoying all kids of fooooooooooood!!! And we all know how delicious food is. I think you would like it. You should pick it up from the library!
