"Stand up and finish what you started."
I love the Biggest Loser for a boost every now and then. :) I also love delicious, healthy recipes, cute workout clothes, variety in workouts (so sick of running :)), and a good goal. Thank God for my good goal when it comes to my lack of variety in workouts lately! Running, running, running, bootcamp, running. I am excited for the 1/2 marathon, and the training is a feat all it's own, but I am also excited for it to be over so I can try kickboxing, hot yoga, and rock climbing. So I have time for more hiking, spin classes, and swimming. Variety is the spice of life! :) But for now, I will stand up and finish what I started! Some days I am motivated and feel great. Others I am tired and/or grumpy and don't want to run. Luckily I have my trainer's voice in my ear "GUT IT OUT!" to help me through. Now I will also hear my new mantra "Stand up and finish what you started."
And on that note, yesterday we had our first longer run since Cabo...6 miles, and the weather was...less than nice. It POURED the entire time we were running. I seriously should've put shampoo in my hair and taken a step out of my day. It was just like taking a shower (except for you know, the sweat...and clothes). There were a few times we couldn't see, it was coming down so strong. I kept thinking I should've brought my snowboarding goggles with me. Anyway, other than the rain, we kept the pace pretty slow for our first run back, and I finished feeling strong. Wet, but strong.
