New Shoes: Take Two
Well that guy was weird. I went back to Road Runner to try some different shoes. The guy helping me barely spoke, and would hardly make eye contact. At one point he asked me what shoes I wore before that actually worked and I jokingly said "I dunno, some orange ones". He obviously didn't get the joke because he looked at me like I was a moron. He just kept looking at me weird while I tried on the shoes...Maybe he figured he didn't need to sell me because they already had my money. I ended up with some Sauconys that were $44 cheaper than the other pair I had. Pretty good deal. Now let's hope my shin splints stay away and my toes don't go numb (which is what happened when I tried tightening the old pair of shoes to avoid friction/blisters)! I don't really want to go back to that place. I think now that I know what I'm supposed to look for in a shoe, I can go to the going out of business sale at Joe's and pick out my own!
